Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We are seeking to fill a part time position of 34 hours per fortnight within our Support Services team.
The hours and days of work will be Monday 4pm – 10.45pm, Thursday 4pm – 10.45pm and Friday 4.00pm – 8.30pm.
Compassion, attention to detail, adherence to process and efficiency are key attributes for the successful candidate. Some of the requirements of the role are to:
- Perform general cleaning tasks throughout the hospital, such as dusting, sanitizing, and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.
- Collect and dispose of rubbish on a daily basis.
- Clean theatres according to infection control and safety protocols.
- Operate a ride-on scrubber to clean and mop large areas and corridors, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Move equipment and furniture when needed, following manual handling and lifting procedures.
- Participate in relevant education sessions.
Please be aware cleaning theatres post surgeries, you may possibly be exposed to minimal blood and bone fragments.
