As an experienced Perioperative Senior Clinical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective management of our operating theatres.

  • Minimum experience of 3 years as a senior nurse in the operating theatre
  • Proven track record of coordinating the daily operations of the operating theatre suite, ensuring optimal utilisation and flow of the theatres.
  • Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality perioperative care.
  • Implementing and monitoring clinical governance and best practices within the perioperative environment.
  • Good communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Managing theatre schedules, staffing, and resources to meet the demands of planned and emergency surgeries.
  • Providing leadership and support to the theatre team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the perioperative work environment

In addition, you will have:

  • Current APC with NZNC
  • Proven experience in coordinating operating theatre activities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of perioperative care and clinical governance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex situations.
