Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

Grace Hospital Theatres is a busy and dynamic surgical complex operating Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 7:00pm. As demand for surgical services continues to grow, we are seeking motivated and adaptable Registered Nurses to join our theatre nursing team in permanent part-time positions.

These roles are vital in supporting safe, efficient theatre operations, maintaining continuity of patient care, and ensuring the smooth delivery of operating lists. Working within a high-performing perioperative environment, you will contribute to excellent patient outcomes while supporting surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams across our nine operating theatres.

Job Description

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse within our perioperative service, you will:

* Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care that promotes patient safety and positive clinical outcomes.
* Support safe and efficient theatre operations across nine operating theatres.
* Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Contribute to effective patient flow and timely completion of surgical lists.
* Maintain high standards of clinical practice, infection prevention, and patient-centered care.
* Participate in creating a positive, supportive, and team-focused working environment.

What We’re Looking For

* Registered Nurses with a current APC
* Perioperative experience preferred (Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology, General and Spinal Surgery)
* Ability to work staggered shifts between 07:30-19:00
* A team-focused approach with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • A NZ Registered Nurse with current APC
  • Minimum of 3 years’ operating theatre nursing experience, is preferable
  • Combined skill set across multiple surgical specialties
  •  Excellent communication skills
  • A team player with good organisational ability
  • Confident customer relation skills
