Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Grace Hospital is looking for a Sterilising Technician, 40 hours per week.  The main function will be to ensure that all equipment is processed according to AS 5369:2023 Standards

 

Some of the other duties and requirements are:

  • Organisation of the workload is consistent and maintains a steady workflow
  • The equipment is not lost or damaged while being processed
  • All documentation requirements are fulfilled and faults are reported immediately

  • A desire to build a career within a growing industry
  • You are on your feet most of the day and continually moving crates of instruments – so it is imperative you are physically fit
  • Ability to work within a tight team environment, where you are relying on each other
  • Comfortable working at a fast pace, reliable and your accuracy is on point
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude - always ready to go the extra mile
  • A professional, supportive and open communication style
  • Respect for patient confidentiality
  • Ability to work rostered shifts Monday to Friday
  • Previous experience would be preferred, however, we are fully prepared to train the right person (at our cost), which will provide the successful applicant a Level 4 Sterilising Certificate (this will require an out of work commitment)
