Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for a phone-based Customer Service Clerk, this position is one of the hospitals most crucial customer service roles who ensure our patients receive accurate and timely information regarding their surgical admissions.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be someone who has exceptional telephone manner, great communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, methodical record keeping and an ability to enjoy a team environment.

The role offered is part time of 38-40 hours per fortnight, over 6 days.

 

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • A proven background in data entry – would expect around 2+ years
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, flexible to adapt to changing schedules with last minute changes.
  • Knows what exceptional customer service is and understands the Privacy Act 2020
  • A "can do" positive attitude (even when under pressure) who role models this at all times
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to quality and accuracy 
  • Computer literacy is a given, at no less than an Intermediate level, with sound knowledge or Microsoft Office Software
  • Highly professional in their approach and compassionate towards our patients
  • Previous experience working in a hospital, or a Dental/Doctors surgery would be highly regarded
  • School Certificate, NCEA or higher.
  • Able to work extra days at short notice.
  • Knowledge of Webpas would be desirable.
